Workshops

Wicker Sewing Basket
Instructor:
Elizabeth Neily
Day:
Saturday
Time:
4:15pm - 7:15pm
Cost:
$20

Perfect for your sewing room or nearby that comfortable living room chair, this “Wicker” Sewing Basket is fashioned after sewing baskets that many of us had, and that we remember our mothers and grandmothers having. They were usually crammed full of day-to-day sewing notions and the necessities for darning socks, mending buttons and tidying up fallen hems.

You’ll learn how to make this “wicker” sewing basket from a Daisy House kit. The lid is hinged so it can be opened and closed and there’s a convenient place on the inside of the lid to keep your scissors. Included with the project are scissors, a pin cushion, tape measure, pattern, and spool and thread, as shown in the picture. There is also plenty of room in the basket for you to collect additional sewing notions.
Finished size is 1 1/8" x 7/8" x 5/8" high.

At the workshop you’ll receive all the components of the sewing basket plus a couple of extra surprise goodies!

Please bring the following supplies and tools with you to complete this project:

    Special note:
